Ingredients

- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with foil, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream 1.5 sticks of butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in eggs one at a time followed by the vanilla.
- Mix the cocoa powder into the butter mixture, then alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk, stirring until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean; cool completely on a wire rack.
- Prepare the frosting by beating the remaining 1.5 sticks of butter with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth; mix 1 cup of this frosting with Nutella for the filling.
- Slice the cooled cake lengthwise, spread the Nutella frosting in the center, and stack the layers.
