Instructions
- Prepare the oven. Preheat your oven to 350F (175C) and grease two nine-inch round cake pans, lining the bottoms with parchment paper.
- Sift dry ingredients. Combine cake flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl, whisking to ensure they are well distributed.
- Cream butter mixture. Beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together for about four minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla. Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

- Whip Chantilly cream. Beat the mascarpone, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth, then fold in separately whipped heavy cream and vanilla.
- Assemble the cake. Slice the cooled cake into four layers, brushing each with jam and spreading with cream and berries before frosting the exterior.
