Description

These delightful Oreo cake pops feature a rich, velvety chocolate and cream cheese center coated in a smooth white shell. They are a perfect no-bake treat for holiday gatherings, birthdays, or quiet afternoons with a cup of tea.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Oreo cookies
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 12 ounces white candy melts
  • 1 teaspoon candy melting aid
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Crush the cookies. Pulse the Oreo cookies in a food processor until they form fine, uniform crumbs.
  2. Combine with cream cheese. Add the softened cream cheese to the crumbs and pulse until a smooth, fudge-like dough forms.
  3. Shape the centers. Scoop portions of dough and roll them between your palms into smooth, uniform spheres, then place on a parchment-lined tray.
  4. Chill the dough. Place the baking sheet into the freezer for fifteen minutes to allow the balls to firm up.
  5. Secure the sticks. Melt a small amount of white candy, dip the tip of each paper stick into it, and insert halfway into each chilled ball; freeze for another five minutes.
  6. Melt the coating. Melt the white candy melts in a heatproof bowl using twenty-second intervals, stirring in the melting aid until smooth and fluid.
  7. Dip the treats. Submerge each cake pop into the melted candy in one smooth motion, lifting and tapping gently to remove excess.
  8. Add the drizzle. Stand the pops upright to dry, then use a fork to drizzle melted semisweet chocolate over the top for a decorative finish.

Notes

  • Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing to prevent lumpy dough.
  • Allow chilled cake pops to sit for five minutes before dipping to prevent the outer shell from cracking.
  • Use a tall, narrow glass for dipping to ensure the entire ball is coated in one motion.
  • Avoid swirling the sticks inside the melted chocolate to keep the centers securely attached.
  • If the coating is too thick, stir in a small amount of coconut oil rather than water.
