Ingredients
- 1 package Oreo cookies
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese
- 12 ounces white candy melts
- 1 teaspoon candy melting aid
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Crush the cookies. Pulse the Oreo cookies in a food processor until they form fine, uniform crumbs.
- Combine with cream cheese. Add the softened cream cheese to the crumbs and pulse until a smooth, fudge-like dough forms.
- Shape the centers. Scoop portions of dough and roll them between your palms into smooth, uniform spheres, then place on a parchment-lined tray.
- Chill the dough. Place the baking sheet into the freezer for fifteen minutes to allow the balls to firm up.
- Secure the sticks. Melt a small amount of white candy, dip the tip of each paper stick into it, and insert halfway into each chilled ball; freeze for another five minutes.
- Melt the coating. Melt the white candy melts in a heatproof bowl using twenty-second intervals, stirring in the melting aid until smooth and fluid.
- Dip the treats. Submerge each cake pop into the melted candy in one smooth motion, lifting and tapping gently to remove excess.
- Add the drizzle. Stand the pops upright to dry, then use a fork to drizzle melted semisweet chocolate over the top for a decorative finish.
