Description

This effortless Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake combines juicy fruit, creamy cheesecake pockets, and a buttery golden crust for a crowd-pleasing dessert. It is the perfect low-stress treat for any gathering, requiring just a handful of pantry staples and minimal preparation.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (21 oz each) strawberry pie filling
  • 2 boxes (15.25 oz each) yellow cake mix
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Whipped cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread both cans of strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. Sprinkle one box of yellow cake mix over the strawberry layer without stirring.
  4. Distribute the cubed cream cheese evenly over the first layer of cake mix.
  5. Cover with the second box of yellow cake mix, spreading it to the edges.
  6. Slowly pour the melted butter over the top, covering as much dry mix as possible.
  7. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until the top is golden and the fruit is bubbly; let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

To ensure the best texture, avoid stirring the layers as this maintains the distinct dump cake crumb. If you notice any stubborn dry spots of cake mix halfway through baking, use a spoon to gently drizzle a small amount of extra melted butter over those areas to ensure a uniform crust.
